Caustic soda

Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide (NaOH), is a strong alkaline chemical widely used in the textile industry. It plays a crucial role in processes such as:

  • Mercerization: Caustic soda is used in the mercerization of cotton, where it improves the strength, luster, and dye uptake of the fabric by altering the structure of the cellulose fibers.
  • Scouring: It helps remove natural oils, waxes, and impurities from fabrics, making them ready for dyeing or printing.
  • Dissolving Fibers: Caustic soda is used in the production of synthetic fibers like viscose rayon, where it helps dissolve cellulose.

The caustic soda generally comes in two types – flakes and prills. They both serve the same purpose but differ in their physical form and the dissolution rate. We are capable and willing to offer the both.

Packing we offer is 25 kg bags; 50 kg bags and big bags.
