Calcium phosphates

Calcium phosphates

Calcium phosphates are essential mineral supplements in animal nutrition, providing vital calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) necessary for the growth, bone development, and overall health of livestock and poultry. Feed-grade calcium phosphates are specifically formulated to meet the dietary requirements of various animals.

Siman ltd. Can supply the folowing types of Feed grade Calcium Phosphates:

  1. Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP):
  • Composition: Contains approximately 22.7% phosphorus and 16.5% calcium.
  • Solubility: Highly soluble in water and diluted acids, enhancing its digestibility and absorption in animals.
  • Usage: Recommended for use in concentrates, compound feed, mineral feed, and other feeds for cattle, pigs, poultry, and pets.
  1. Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP):
  • Composition: Typically contains around 18.5% phosphorus and 22% calcium.
  • Solubility: Moderately soluble, providing a balance between immediate and sustained release of minerals.
  • Usage: Commonly used in animal feeds to ensure adequate phosphorus and calcium intake.
  1. Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP):
  • Composition: Contains about 20% phosphorus and 38% calcium.
  • Solubility: Less soluble compared to MCP and DCP, leading to slower mineral release.
  • Usage: Utilized in specific feed formulations where gradual mineral availability is desired.
